When an organization decides to try something new...something exciting...something for the sole beneift of the kids...it is a bit scary. Will people come? What will we do with extra food if no one shows up? We need things for the kids, will this event be on the right track? Oh my! Oh my! Oh my!

Fortunately, our worries and concerns were quickly dashed away. We desperately hoped for at least 100 attendees--- YAHOO!---after over 250 showed up, no one could keep from smiling. All the work and energy paid off. Plus, who could believe our little village--**yes, village**--had so much enthusiasm for supporting the Arts. 

We stood back and watched as the kids raced up to sing. They gobbled pizza, hot dogs, and downed V-8 Splash as fast as we could hand it to them. And, don't forget the Bake Sale items. Delicious cookies, rich brownies, yummy chocolate dipped marshmallows...the parents and volunteers spared no detail or expense to fill every chocoholic's dream.

Our fantastic raffle items hit a home run, too. From personal training sessions and salon packages, to the best independent business items: Pampered Chef, Home Interiors, Mary Kay, Logaburger...there was something for everyone. Don't forget the HUGE Rice Krispie Treat; I knew the kids would need something just for them to win.

All I can say is "Thank You" to our generous donors. Whether you brought in cookies for the bake sale, donated an item for the auction, manned a booth, or wrote us a check...we could not have made this possible without your pure selfless dedication to the kids in our community. Kudos to you all!

Concerns for next year? Will we have enough seats? That is the only genuine worry I can contemplate. You are guaranteed a seat, even if I have to volunteer my lap.
